Frost Patterns

Hello Everyone!
It has been a while since I last wrote, life has been pretty busy. How was your Christmas? Was it white?  Here it has been unusually warm, rainy, and without snow so I haven't been able to take many pictures lately. I will however share a few pictures from a month or so ago when it was cold (in the single digits) and we had a little snow. These pictures are of frost patterns which were on our windows. They were really cool!

Wood Photo Shoot

Recently we were able to pick up some wood from our friends house. It was a blessing for both of us.  Since we have a wood stove so we can use the wood, and it also got the wood out of our friends way. :) Anyways, it was stacked outside the window and looked cool so I decided to go out and take some pictures. It's pretty amazing how interesting wood can be if you look closely at it, from the bark, to the fungus growing on it, to the bright colors. Even wood expresses the creativity of God!

Water Droplets

Have you ever been outside right after a rainstorm, and looked closely
 at the many water droplets on trees, grass, leaves, and many other objects?
If not, next time there is rain, go outside and look closely at the water drops.
I took most of  these pictures outside, in pauses between rainstorms, last week.
 It was really amazing how round, these water drops were,
some of them were almost perfect spheres!
 Untill recently I hadn't taken much notice in how interesting water
 can be, but by taking these pictures it helped me to see Gods creation
 in the form of water droplets.

 Today, as you look around you, is there something beautiful
 that God has made that you haven't taken notice of before?
 As you observe the beauty around you, remember how powerful God is,
 and thank him for the many gifts he has bestowed on us,
whether they be big or small.

Fall

Hello again!

It's starting to feel like fall here! The leaves are changing colors and it is colder outside. How about where you live? What is the weather like?
Here are a few fall pictures that I recently took and a fall poem called "Autum" by Ryan Larkin.

Genesis 8:22

"While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.”

                 Autumn

Descending leaves fall to the ground,
Twirling, twisting, round and round,
Autumn season is almost here,
The smell of freshness is oh so near. 
The crisp, cool breeze,
Shakes the leaves from the trees, 
Autumn takes away the green, 
Golden-bronze and brown is all that can be seen.

A Couple of Mushrooms

Nature in My Backyard

Hello!
Recently I did a photo shoot of nature in my backyard! A while ago I had taken pictures of flowers from my yard, and this is sort of a sequel. While taking these pictures I was reminded of this verse:

"O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom has thou made them all: the earth is full of your riches."(Psalm 104:24)."

I really like taking pictures of insects on flowers (if you hadn't guessed) :D These bee pictures turned out pretty good!

Frogs!

Hi!
Today I wanted to share a few pictures of a couple frogs that I took. A little while ago we found two frogs inside of our grill. Thankfully my brother noticed them before he turned the grill on so they were saved!

Photos from a Nature Hike

Pictures From a Nature Hike 

The other day I was at a park close to home. There was a trail at the park near to a river, so we decided to take a nature hike.  While walking, we  spotted a family of ducks going for a swim. They were pretty fun to watch sticking their heads under water to search for food. I took some pictures that I thought you might like to see! Ducks are an example of God's unique and diverse creation! We noticed many beautiful flowers along the path, which I took a few pictures of as well. 

Here are the ducks, there were 4 or 5 of them!

This duck was eating off the rocks at the bottom of the river.

No, the duck on the right is not dead, it's foot is just in an awkward position!
